The Story of Buildings: New Zealand’s South Island

In small towns and settlements across the South Island are wonderful examples of architecture built at the turn of the 20th Century. Since the 2011 Christchurch earthquake many historic buildings have been demolished, or damaged and too costly to save and whose future is uncertain. Recently some of Invercargill’s older buildings in the CBD have been demolished. I have documented some of the history of Public Buildings in New Zealand’s South Island with black and white photographs in a book ” The Story of Buildings” published in 2021.
